Responsible for receiving pallets, checking inventory and placing inventory on the bin.

Responsibilities

  • Possesses thorough knowledge of the duties and responsibilities of the Receiver.
  • Keeps Assistant Manager informed through ongoing communications.
  • Promotes superior customer service.
  • Assists with special projects as directed by supervisor.
  • Unloads pallets from the carrier's truck, and notes all OS&D on freight bill.
  • Responsible for organizing the pallets to be checked, in order which they were received.
  • Possesses organization skills and is very precise on checking the Item#, Size & Quantity.
  • Places the inventory in the correct bin, by utilizing bin locator system.
  • If product cannot be found on the pallet, the receiver puts away all inventories, and then checks the count of that item against the AS/400 count.
  • Understands and possesses thorough knowledge of bin locator system.
  • Notes all inventory transfers on transfer sheet and turns papers in to Receiving Foreman.
  • Fills in and performs duties of order selector when needed.
  • Protects FinishMaster's inventory investment and handles product with care.
  • Take precautionary safety measures for any leaking or damaged material immediately, and notify Assistant Manager as soon as possible.
  • Understands and possesses thorough knowledge of Safety requirements through out Distribution Center. i.e. Forklift safety, lifting safety, ladder safety
  • Responsible for keeping their aisle clean and product rotated in the proper bin locations.
  • Performs similar and related duties to achieve objectives while using methods consistent with the FinishMaster culture.

Qualifications

Education:

  • Mandatory Requirements
    • Forklift/High Low Equipment Training
  • Preferred Requirements
    • One year certificate from college or technical school with emphasis in Warehousing and packaging, customer and interpersonal relations

Experience:

  • Mandatory Requirements
    • Minimum, one month general knowledge of Warehousing and Packaging
  • Preferred Requirements
    • Minimum, one year specific experience/training including: Warehousing and Packaging, Inventory Locator System training
